Looks like DJ Morgoth, another amazing and one of my favorite mashup producers got a cease and desist letters! On his site;

Man, seems like some lawyers out there are on a serious war path lately. DO NOT DISPARAGE! Copyright laws around the world are getting more attention in the media now more than ever! There is a social change occurring demanding an examination of outdated and medieval copyright laws that stifle creative thought, not just for the consumer but for the artist owning the original content!

Canada is one country taking serious steps in updating these laws to include the legal creation and use of mashups!

As for DJ Morgoth, I’ll see what else I can find out about what is going down!

Revy started MashupCiti in 2007 out of pure greed and laziness in an attempt to acquire as many mashups as possible. Lover of all things bizarre and silly, Revy may be a genius or just a regular guy. It's sometimes hard to tell.
