BeatlemaniaOh la tristesse! This song has just taken a more morose turn to depression for me now! Delicious! I can just picture Paul McCartney siting infront of a grand piano on a dark stage. I am very much into my “Chill” mashups for this week. Another quality mashup from Phil RetroSpector!

Earth Hour

Earth HourI just thought this was really cool. From Earth Hour, on March 29th shut off your power from 8pm to 9pm saving a swack load of energy. Thats the concept at least, and a pretty cool one I think.

And I can’t put this up with out a mashup! So here is a niffty old school DnB mashup from Banger (?). Love the Cosby anti drug speech! Someone should let Kate Moss listen to this I think.

Souls of DubWow, seems like I’m really getting into some laid back chill stuff recently. And it’s not only me, I’m getting mashup producers and djs sending in their chill tunes as well! So, maybe that’s why. This track reminds me something I would have seen in Samurai Champloo or something. I dig this tune mucho grande. Matt Gill, well done mate!

Can anyone let me know what tracks are used here?

Yesterdays HangoverSituation resolved!

This tune is the “nice warm fuzzies” in yer belly tune. A cool relaxing and sweet song from Phil Retrospector that nicely blend Diana Ross and The Beatles. From Phil he says “was one of the first bootlegs I made (and still one of my favorites).”. Damn straight! A very nice mashup indeed.

Yes I know I spelled that wrong, it’s intentional. I seem to be having some odd behaviour happening right now with posting. I’m looking into this and will get some new mashups posted as soon as I can!

The Principle of Twin LustMan this is a spicey, sexy, naughty mashup! Not the obvious vulgar type either. More seductive than anything. Really well done! Another quality mashup from Qubic! Who is on fire by the way.

Enigma - Principles of Lust (Jazz Mix)
Enigma - Principles of Lust (Everlasting Lust Mix)
Diana Krall - The Look of Love
Aphex Twin - #14 (from “Selected Ambient Works, Vol. II”)
Depeche Mode - I Want You Now

Thinking about pumping up the volumeAnother new find! Qubic has sent me a couple of really stellar mashups! This one has two versions attached to it, both really laid back and fun to listen to. London Beat totally reminds me of Billy Ocean for some reason. In fact, I thought they were one and the same for awhile. Weird!

London Beat (The Eclipse Mix) vs. MARRS

YES WE CANA brilliant inspirational speech, and a fantastic video mashup from Phil RetroSpector. Setting aside politics, whatever side you’re on, just the message of this says volumes and provides hope. Man this just makes me happy! Yay!

Toxic Soulja SkaFlippin NICE! From DJ Beloki we get to see this amuzing and entertaining beat! It’s fast paced and puts a smile on my face! What more can I ask for? I know revy hears this, he won’t shut up about it for days. But that’s cool. I’m digging the vibe.

Get Insane in the RhythmFrom Frogthedawg comes this pretty damn sweet mashup of Cypress Hill and The Man in Black. It’s pretty cool cause I was just thinking how I don’t see many country tunes mashed up. Come to think of it, there are entire genres of music that don’t get the proper mashup love that they deserve me thinks! Anywhoos, well done Frogthedawg, we like this tune very much! Keep on mashin! ( I came up with that ‘temp’ title myself as Frog didn’t give me one! Cool eh?)
